Stationery prettiness

We are pleased to have opened our new Stationery Shop on the website!

It was the most asked for section when the website was launched and we have just added a selection of gorgeous and practical items which are ideal for prettying up journals, diaries, filofaxes and notebooks. 

We plan to add many more products, but judging by your response since we added them, this section of the Boutique is going to be very popular!

We have almost sold out of all dresses with just a few styles remaining.  There is very low stock across all sizes, so if you were planning on ordering one - don't delay!  We are unfortunately unable to guarantee restocks at this present time, so once they're gone, they're gone!

We will be adding a range of gorgeous doilies, straws, cupcakes cases and cake toppers to the site in the next day or so - so keep an eye on the website for more prettiness!

Thrilled beyond words....

Goodness gracious me!  What an amazing few days it has been.  Since the launch of the Polka Dots and Petticoats website on Sunday night I have received the most amazing response.

Wonderful comments, fantastic feedback, encouragement and support and the icing on the cake - an incredible amount of orders which has left me in a state of shock and disbelief!  Don't get me wrong, I am most definitely NOT complaining, but the level of interest has far surpassed even my wildest expectations, so thank you, thank you, thank you!!

We are in a frenzy of processing and packing orders - and learning to juggle all the different aspects of running a business.   It is a (very) steep learning curve but we are doing OK so far.  Wrapping each parcel is the best bit - we treat each one as though it is a special gift.  I did toy with sharing some pictures here, but have decided to keep it under wraps (pardon the pun) so anyone ordering for the first time will get a lovely surprise!

Our gorgeous vintage style dresses have been the most popular, closely followed by the gorgeous owl tealight holders - which sold out within a few hours of the launch!  We have since re-ordered stocks of both and some new items too! 

 

So, safe to say it's been a whirlwind few days - long may it continue!  A huge thank you to everyone who has placed an order, supported us by spreading the word, and taken the time to comment and let me know their thoughts.  It really is very much appreciated.

A love of polka dots and petticoats!

Those of you who already know me will probably be fully aware of my love of all things dotty.  Perhaps that makes me a little (or a lot) dotty?  My lovely hubby would definitely say so.  

So it seemed a natural choice to include them in the name of my new venture - Polka Dots and Petticoats.  Polka Dots - because a girl can never have too many polka dots in her life, and Petticoats - well that's a nod to my love of vintage style fashion - pretty, girly, classy and fun to wear.  

The time has come to take a great big leap of faith and launch my new business into the unknown!  It's been months in the planning, and hours of research, discussions, sketching and mulling over ideas have brought me to this point.  

There has been much excitement, stress, delight and worry, but amongst all the hullaboo of getting a new business ready to roll - I'm enjoying myself.  That's got to be a good start hasn't it?

I hope this is the first step on the road to a wonderful adventure.  Do come along for the ride - it should be fun!
